ABOUT Ivan ARANDIA
Ivan Arandia is an Argentinean tango dancer, choreographer and teacher with 15 years of experience. Ivan trained with Argentinean tango masters such as Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne, Sebastian Arce and Mariana Montes, Osvaldo Zotto, Gabriel Angio and Natalia Games, amongst other important figures of the tango world. He danced in the movie "Evita", and participated in "Strictly Dancing", a Channel 4 documentary on Tango. Ivan choreographed the dance scenes in the Alek Keshishian’s film "Love and Others Disasters" starring Brittany Murphy.
Siempre", teaching and performing in the Royal Academy of Arts and various arts centers in the regions. In Australia, Ivan performed for the show "Tango Takes 2" in Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne. He also ran various tango workshops in Melbourne and Perth. He performed in the show “La Milonga Interna” at the 2004 Festival do Atlantico in Madeira, Portugal.
As a member of the company Tiempo de Tango (2004 - 2009), Ivan danced at the 58 LLangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales and at the Edinburgh Festival.
He also toured the UK with Aerial Dance Theatre Company WIRED (2008).
Ivan is the director of NEGRACHA Tango School in Holborn, central London. He also runs NEGRACHA Tango Club, London's leading and most popular tango club attracting over 250 people every Friday night. Currently, Ivan teaches and performs tango regularly in various scenes in the UK and abroad and he is also part of the team organizing RIVER TANGO - London International Tango Festival 2009.
