This Friday 9 October, NEGRACHA Tango School is delighted to welcome back the excellent tango dancers and teachers David BENITEZ & Kim SCHWARTZ of TANGO MOVEMENT SCHOOL. David & Kim will be leading a TANGO VALS CLASS from 19.30 -21.00.
We are also hosting the popular Tango Duo formed by the gifted musicians Pablo CITARELLA (Piano) & James OGLE (violin). Pablo & James will be playing a set of highly danceable tangos, milongas and valses at 10.30. DJ IVAN will run the Traditional Hall and DJ VINCENZO Amor tango will play at the TANGO LOUNGUIN' ROOM. Carlos Paredes and Diana Giraldo are world renowned dancers and are the winners of the Mundial De Tango, the official Buenos Aires World Tango championship. As the leading exponents of the modern canyengue style of tango, Carlos and Diana have become one of the most in-demand tango couples in the world, both as performers and teachers. We are pleased to host the excellent Kara WENHAM, this Friday 20, leading a special tango class titled: Giros and Musicality in Closed Embrace.
Kara graduated with a BFA in Theatre/Acting from Emerson College, Boston, MA. She studied and worked both as a dancer (modern and jazz) and an actress in Boston and Chicago before she moved to Buenos Aires to dedicate herself to tango.
As a dancer, Kara moves with great presence and dynamic. Drawing from the roots of tango’s past, she is infusing traditional elements with a more contemporary feel, and is expanding the boundaries of expression in tango.
This is Kara's only class in London apart from the workshops she is running
on Sunday 22 June at our home in Holborn. Kara is also available for some
