About MILENA PLEBS
Tango director, choreographer, dancer.
Maria Ruanova 1991 Prize, highest award to Argentine dance. She performed as a dance with the “Grupo de Danza Contemporanea del Teatro San Martin de Buenos Aires” (Contemporary Dance Group of the San Martin Theatre of Buenos Aires) from 1980 to 1985. She studied contemporary and classic dance, choreography and rhythmic expression.
She performed as a dancer at “Tango Argentino” of Segovia and Orezzoli between 1986 and 1989.
She created and was the leading performer together with Miguel Zotto “Tango x 2 Company” and “Tango x 2” shows, “Perfumes de Tango” and “Una noche de Tango” between 1988 and 1998.
She choreographed the operetta “Maria de Buenos Aires” by Piazzolla-Ferrer for the Houston Grand Opera.
She was the director and choreographer of the show “Romance de Barrio”.
Milena was part of feature films; “Tango” (documentary by the National Geographic Society), “Flop”, “Oratorio Carlos Gardel” and “Assassination Tango”.
She gave seminars in various countries around the world.
She is the godmother of the sculpture of Carlos Gardel at the Abasto, Buenos Aires. Permanent Academic of la Academia Nacional de Tango. She choreographed first season of the show “Piazzolla Tango”, Centre of the Arts and Spectacles, Buenos Aires.
She was the leading dancer, choreographer and producer of the documentary video “Milena baila el tango…. with Ezequiel Farfaro”, It regards a creative process, directed by Rodrigo Peiretti.
In 2009 Milena created and performed as a leading dancer of “Tramatango” show, presented for two seasons at the Teatro Presidente Alvear, Buenos Aires with high success.
About David PALO
Actor and Tango dancer, he studied Dramatic Art Studies at the Instituto Universitario de Arte Dramatico (I.U.N.A.) (University Institute of Dramatic Art) where he studied under the great masters of corporal and rythmic expressions. He graduated from la Academia de Estilos del Tango, Argentina (A.C.E.T.A.) (Academy of Styles of Tango, Argentina).
He performed as an actor, dancer and choreographer on various projects such as “Pagar el Pato” (Tango para dos), ¨Hoy Bailongo Hoy¨ by Doris Petroni, ¨El dúo Sosa Echague¨ by Tito Cossa. He had the leading roll at the show ¨Sebastian Tango¨ directed by Rubén Cuello, he was part of the permanet dance cast for ¨Complejo Tango¨ show and leading dancer for the company ¨Inspiration Tango¨.
He partenered as solo dance couple with Tamara Bisceglia. He was invited to various festivals around the world to perfomance and give seminars: ¨New Zealand Tango Festival¨ (2006 y 2009) ¨Fai Tango¨ Venecia and Salerno and Cremona Tango Festivals (Italia) among others. He was also invited to the cities of Manila, Bali, Roma, Wellington, Singapur, Salerno, Pescara, Padova, Sydney, San Pablo, Auckland and ¨Seabourn¨ Cruises.
He is part of the dance cast of ¨Tanguera, el Musical¨.
In 2010 started to performance with Milena Plebs as a leading couple in ¨Tramatango¨ at the Teatro Presidente Alvear, Buenos Aires.
